Custom Vision Clinic is 1 year old!
Staff at the clinic, based at The Coach House at Bowcliffe Hall, Wetherby, threw an anniversary party on Friday 11th May to celebrate their exciting and successful first year.
Previous patients who have had treatment during the last year were invited along with their guests to catch up with consultant ophthalmic surgeon Mr. James Ball, who opened his clinic in May 2017. Entertainment was provided by the York-born jazz singer Catherine Sykes (of The Glenn Miller Orchestra) and her band.
Mr. Ball, from Harrogate, said: “We are delighted to be hosting our first-anniversary event in the Blackburn Wing at Bowcliffe Hall. It has been a fantastic first year for us. We have welcomed over 300 patients into our clinic, where we provide completely customised treatment for every patient.
“The technology we have at the clinic ensures that we can tailor our cataract surgery, lens surgery and laser eye surgery to our patients’ eyes and to our patients’ lifestyles. The anniversary event gave my team and me the chance to catch up with our patients and to find out how much they are enjoying life with their improved vision. I was overwhelmed by the feedback we received from them.”
The centrepiece of the evening was an anniversary cake replicating the Custom Vision Clinic building. It was provided by Jill Parkinson of Jelly Bean Bakery.
Custom Vision Clinic is based at The Coach House, Bowcliffe Hall, Wetherby and specialises in laser eye surgery (including SMILE and Presbyond LASIK), customised cataract surgery and refractive lens exchange. Custom Vision Clinic has unique access to a range of lens implant technology.
Mr. Ball has been a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since 2005. The inspiration for Custom Vision Clinic came from Mr. Ball’s experience of setting up refractive surgery services in Geneva and Harley Street in London.
Clinic appointments take place all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
