Event Debrief: Acanthamoeba Keratitis Lecture
This well-attended lecture looked at the aetiology, causes and predisposing factors of Acanthamoeba keratitis.
Guidance was given on the presenting signs and symptoms to aid diagnosis within practice. Management and up to date treatment options were discussed along with referral guidelines to enable optometrists to communicate with and manage patients appropriately.
This enabled optometrists to offer best practise and up to date guidance to patients.
