CET Event: Current Surgical Management of Keratoconus
At this CET event for Optometrists, James Ball, Consultant Ophthalmologist at Custom Vision Clinic will share current knowledge about the surgical management of keratoconus.
Keratoconus diagnosis forms one of the core competencies in optometric practice. Indeed optometrists are likely to be the first professionals to see a patient presenting with symptoms of keratoconus.
The management of keratoconus has changed radically over the last ten years and continues to develop at a rapid pace. This overview of the current surgical management of keratoconus will include recommendations regarding referral, current controversies in corneal cross-linking, the role of Keraring implantation and phakic IOLs, the surgical repair of corneal hydrops and the latest techniques for corneal transplantation in keratoconus.
Please join us at The Drivers Club for a two-course dinner and drinks from 18:30, followed by the lecture starting at 19:30.
